  • Located in the heart of the New London area of West Grove, Peak PT opened its doors in February, 2007.

  • With a focus on clinical excellence and genuine care, Peak PT brings community members back from injury or surgery to a better way of life.

  • Our goal is to restore the very best quality of life for each individual so that they can enjoy the lifestyle they desire.

  • Our patients range in age from 10 to 100.

  • Areas of treatment vary widely and include post operative care, issues surrounding pain, athletic injuries and even basic concerns such as walking, having sufficient endurance to comfortably enjoy each day, balance deficits, and weakness.

CULTURE

We have a culture of support and encouragement in our clinic where each person receives the attention and care that they need. We are thrilled to be able to take care of a 100 year old with difficulty walking, a senior after a total knee replacement, a middle aged man with lower back pain, the weekend warrior with a rotator cuff tear, the young woman with neck pain, the high schooler who just had knee surgery, the teen runner with foot problems, and the youngster with a broken leg. We truly love to work with a variety of patients.

EXPERIENCE

It is paramount to us that each patient has a positive experience, to the point that they recommend their family and friends go to Peak if they have any Physical Therapy needs. To this day, the great majority of our patients are people who were personally referred to our care. Additionally, we enjoy a very positive reputation in our local medical community.

TECHNIQUES

Our treatment techniques are just as varied. Each patient's Plan of Care is individualized to fit their needs exactly. We endeavor to utilize manual techniques such as massage, passive stretching, and joint mobilizations as well as incorporate appropriate exercises all of which will work together to improve the patient's functional level. The exercises that we choose may be sport specific activities suited for a particular sport, or may be very traditional stretching or strengthening activities. We often include balance and core exercises to round out a person's exercise plan. In addition, we utilize modalities such as ice, moist heat packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as indicated by each patient's particular needs.

In August of 2010, we expanded our clinic to include 4 private treatment rooms, additional exercise equipment, and an extensive gym: Peak PT offers everything necessary to each patient to fully recover their highest functional level.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"After spending too much time at one of the chain businesses and still having leg pain, a friend recommended Peak Physical Therapy. From the very first visit there was a positive, caring and instructive attitude. Within 3 visits the pain was practically gone. The employees at Peak are qualified, friendly and a great group of people. I have recommended Peak to many friends and will continue to recommend their services to people who need expert physical therapy."

"I can't thank [the staff] enough for making my physical therapy stint for my shoulder a pleasant experience. Besides the therapy itself, there was always good conversation, laughter, caring and compassion from the whole staff and the other patients! Lovely community atmosphere ... there is a part of me that will miss that, but I am also happy and grateful to say that my shoulder function has been restored! Keep up the good work!"

- Lynne L.
